Day 1 – Aug 01: Arrival Medellin 🇨🇴

Arrive in Medellin (any international arrival).
Transfer to hotel, free time until briefing meeting 6:00 pm and then we will enjoy dinner

Hotel: Poblado Plaza or similar 4★

 

Day 2 – Aug 02: Medellín Transformation + Festival Highlights

Breakfast at the hotel

Guided Medellín city tour

Comuna 13: Urban art, cable car, local stories of transformation

Botero Plaza and Museum of Antioquia

Ride the MetroCable for city and valley views

Lunch at local eatery

Visit the Flower Market at Jardín Botánico (Botanical Garden Flower Expo)

Evening: Attend a free concert or cultural event (live music or traditional Trova)
 

Day 3 – Aug 03: Guatapé & El Peñol Rock Day Trip

Full-day private excursion to Guatapé & Piedra del Peñol

Climb the 740 steps of the rock for spectacular lake views

Explore Guatapé’s colorful streets and zócalos

Return to Medellín by late afternoon

 

Day 4 – Aug 04: Coffee Region

After breakfast, depart Medellín by private van toward the Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Enjoy a scenic drive of 5–6 hours through green valleys, cloud forests, and mountain landscapes.

Arrive at your coffee hacienda hotel near Salento.

After a welcome lunch, set out on a guided coffee farm tour. Learn about the entire process — from planting and harvesting to drying and roasting.

Participate in a coffee tasting session with a local expert, discovering the aromas and flavors that make Colombian coffee world-famous.

Day 5 – Aug 05: Cocora Valley & Salento

After breakfast, transfer to the Cocora Valley, one of Colombia’s most iconic landscapes.

Enjoy a guided hike among the towering wax palm trees, the national tree of Colombia and the tallest palm species in the world.

Learn about the biodiversity of the cloud forest and its role in Colombia’s ecosystem.

Afternoon

Visit the charming town of Salento, famous for its colorful balconies, artisan shops, and lively main square.

Lunch in a traditional restaurant, tasting local specialties like trout with plantains.

Free time to explore cafés, handicraft boutiques, or simply enjoy the vibrant local atmosphere.

Day 6 – Aug 06: La Macarena

Breakfast at the hacienda. Transfer to Matecaña International Airport (PEI), Pereira.

Drive time: ~45 minutes – 1 hour 
Private charter flight from Pereira to La Macarena Airport (LMC). Flight time: ~1 hour 45 minutes.

Enjoy aerial views of the Andes and the Amazonian plains on your way to one of Colombia’s most remote natural treasures.

Arrival and assisted transfer to your eco-lodge.

Orientation with local environmental guides about the region’s unique ecosystems and conservation efforts.

Depending on timing, enjoy a short introductory hike along nearby trails with first views of the Guayabero River.

Day 7 – Aug 07: Rainbow River

Breakfast at the lodge around 6:00 AM.

Depart early (approx. 7:00 AM) with your guide for the Caño Cristales National Natural Park.

Trek through the rainforest to the river’s most famous sections where vibrant aquatic plants create a kaleidoscope of colors (reds, yellows, blues, greens).

Swim in the clear waters at designated safe spots — snorkeling gear available.

Guided explanations on the river’s unique ecosystem, flora, and fauna.
 

Day 8 – Aug 8: Guayabero River Boat

Guayabero River boat trip — scenic boat ride through rainforest waterways, wildlife spotting (birds, monkeys), and remote villages.
 

Day 9 – Aug 9: La Macarena to Bogota

Early breakfast and transfer to La Macarena airport.

Flight from La Macarena to Bogotá (usually direct, ~1 hour).

Arrival at El Dorado International Airport (BOG).

Private transfer to hotel in Bogotá’s historic district (La Candelaria). Then we will enjoy guided city tour.

Day 10 – Aug 10: Cartagena
Morning visiting Gold museum then lunch & transfer to airport for our flight to Cartagena.

Arrival at Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG).

Transfer to hotel in Cartagena’s walled city.
Hotel: Movich Cartagena de Indias or similar 4★
 

Day 11 – August 11: Cartagena

Walking tour of historic Old Town:

Plaza Santo Domingo

Clock Tower

Castillo San Felipe de Barajas (fortress)

Getsemaní neighborhood with colorful street art and cafes.

Day 12 – Aug 12: End

Breakfast & free time until your flight back home.
